who we are.

Ten Mile Menu was founded in 2013 by Steve Sidhu in an effort to make buying quality local produce affordable and convenient. Over the years the business has evolved to where we are today, a partnership with George and Cate at Sandy Lane Farm, with their locally grown organic veg boxes at the heart of the business.

George is responsible for the 'on-farm' operation, looking after the box planning, growing, picking and packing. Steve takes care of running the website, delivery planning and customer service - everything 'off-farm'.

After Covid-19 paused the filming industry we were lucky to have Jackson reach out to us, (he's pictured on the right looking very serious about his crate of romanesco...), he now works with us full time as General Manager - working across the farm and delivery operation, whilst leading the charge with our new meat box offer. 'Generally Managing' to cope with Steve and George!

what we do.

First and foremost we aim to offer you the best possible organic veg boxes, so you have brilliant fresh produce to cook with each week. Our biggest point of difference vs the big nationwide operators is that we are local as a veg box can be - for much of the year 90-100% of the produce in our boxes is grown on Sandy Lane Farm, for example George doesn't grow mushrooms (so these are always bought in), and at other times of the year we need to supplement our produce to offer you the variety necessary to maintain our range and choice - we publish the origin of every item in our boxes each week.  When required, we source regionally first, keeping food miles down to an absolute minimum. That said, the fruit we offer is nearly all bought-in, and mainly non-UK, however it is never air-freighted.

We also offer products to add on to your veg box, eggs, bread, occassionally oils and soon to be meat. Our meat boxes will contain meat exclusively from local farmers we know and trust, they will be paid a fair price and meat will be available to us (and therefore to you), when it is ready.
