Mark Robertson has a passion for honest and hearty cooking. After working in pub kitchens for 10 years, he swapped the unsociable hours to spend more time with his wife and two young ones. Less than one year after stirring up his home-style ready meals as Made By Mark, he already has a Great Taste award under his belt.
where are they?
Working from his professional kitchen in Marlow, Mark sources ingredients from local butchers who care about the quality of their produce. Using traditional family recipes (tested thoroughly as a busy dad who batch-cooks meals for the freezer at home), he brings food cooked with heart to local customers who know how proper food should taste.
what do they produce?
Mark’s range of gourmet ready meals is all about home cooked food as it should be. We call him ‘the local chap who fills the hungry gap’! His own take on comforting autumnal meals includes award-winning Lamb Shank Shepherd’s Pie with rosemary mash and flavourful Oxtail Cottage Pie with red wine reduction.
Loyal customers comment on the beautiful flavours he infuses into each dish - local smoked bacon add depth to his Chicken and Tomato Sauce and rich bean cassoulet accompanies his slow-cooked Confit Duck.
